The UK Cities Cup headed north to Glasgow for the 2nd race of the series and the 1st that was organised exclusively for the series. A new map awaited the competitors thanks to local orienteer Patrick Walder.

Despite a smal turn-out the event proved to be very successful and enjoyable for all. Murray Strain took the mens open race win to move to the top of the overall points board adding to his 2nd place in York. Ross McLennan couldn't quite match the pace of 'Rocky' Strain so had to settle for 2nd spot.

In the women's open Helen Palmer continued her good seasons form which has earned her a call-up to the GB Team for the World Champs, by taking an easy win in the end. she goe joint top of the overall points board alongside fellow GB team member Helen Bridle.
